Our specialisation is composite engineering. We are passionate about composites because we believe this advanced material brings unique advantages to the defence industry:

Composites are lightweight and extremely strong. This allows Special Forces to:

  • Carry out operations more quickly (e.g. using faster RHIBs)
  • Extend mission endurance by reducing fuel consumption

  • Transport more equipment or materials

Composites can be radar transparent, allowing radars to be protected without compromising performance.
Composites can be conductive, offering protection against electromagnetic (EMC) radiation.
Composites can be made highly flexible, making them more resistant to shock loads and reducing damage compared to traditional materials.
Combinations with fibres such as aramid provide strong anti-ballistic properties while weighing only a fraction of conventional armour systems.

In summary, composites are ideally suited for improving the performance of Defence vehicles while helping to reduce CO₂ emissions.
